Welcome to Walker! Transitioning from elementary school to middle school brings lots of changes, but Walker Magnet Middle is committed to making the crossover from 5th to 6th as easy as possible.

Choice In
Entry to Walker is by choice only. The Choice window for Hillsborough County Public Schools opens on October 20, 2025 at 6:00 pm and closes on December 7, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Results are usually announced in late January/early February. You will have one week to accept your invitation to attend.

Ice Cream Social – 2026 Date TBD
Walker invites you and your family to attend an ice cream social on campus after school. Take a walk through the halls, learn all about Walker’s after school clubs and activities, and meet fellow incoming 6th graders while enjoying some ice cream!
IB Info Sessions – 2026 Dates TBD
Once you accept your spot at Walker, you will receive an email to sign up for info sessions via Zoom to learn more about the Walker IB program.
Wolf Camp – 2026 Dates TBD
At the end of the summer, Walker will offer a Wolf Camp, where 6th graders are welcome to attend the school for a half-day session to meet the teachers, fellow students, and get familiar with the campus before school starts. Parents will also have the option of attending a parent info session right after morning drop off.
